SUMMARY
ANDThis article presents brief considerations on the approach to stem-and-leaf diagrams in the 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education. Examples of explorations are shown and tasks based on the classic “concrete-pictorial-abstract” (CPA) approach are suggested, presenting a careful attention to order and phasing and a strong concern with orality and interpretation of diverse situations.
