SUMMARY
Exploring examples of how mathematics is applied in everyday life is important for children's learning and should be present from the earliest years of their schooling. The following short text shows how simple the mathematics of Euro banknotes is. Their serial number is an example of the identification systems currently used, which are based on the inclusion of a check digit, responsible for detecting common errors that may occur in the transmission of information, also preventing counterfeiting.
