Recreational Mathematics Magazine

The Recreational Mathematics Magazine is published by the Ludus Association with the support of the Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology . The journal is electronic and semiannual, and focuses on results that provide amusing, witty but nonetheless original and scientifically profound mathematical nuggets. The issues are published in the exact moments of the equinox. It's a magazine for mathematicians, and other mathematics lovers, who enjoy imaginative ideas, non-standard approaches, and surprising procedures. Occasionally, some papers that do not require any mathematical background will be published.

Journal of Elementary Mathematics

The JME was founded on November 1, 1883; it was a completely handwritten newspaper with only problems from the so-called branches of elementary mathematics (arithmetic, geometry, algebra, trigonometry), some solved, others to be solved by the readers; it is not known who its author(s) were; it came out fortnightly on the 1st and 15th of each month, but it had a short existence. From those distant times, there are issues no. 1, 5 and 9. Later, Dr. Sérgio Macias Marques continued the newspaper and its numbering – it came out precisely a century after the interruption in those distant times.
