SUMMARY
The concern with the teaching and learning process of fractions, which begins in the 1st cycle of Basic Education and extends to the 2nd cycle, since it is essential for the development of other important concepts, such as the concept of proportion or even algebraic relations, as well as the conviction that one should invest in comprehensive learning, was the starting point for the development of a material that would help teachers and students in this process. This is how the “Fractions” card deck came about, which consists of a set of cards with different representations of rational numbers. In this article, we will present some activities developed with students and teachers from the 1st and 2nd cycles of Basic Education, using the “Fractions” card deck.
