SUMMARY

This article is the result of a pedagogical intervention project developed within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice Curricular Unit. A part of this project will be presented, the main theme of which is the exploration of different types of mathematical tasks that allow students to have richer and more challenging mathematical experiences. Based on a qualitative research methodology, the aim was to collect a set of data rich in descriptive details of what happened in the classroom to later analyze and try to understand behaviors, discussions and resolutions presented by students. The results obtained demonstrated that it is possible to articulate different types of mathematical tasks, with a higher degree of challenge, with the curricular program, since the students were able to solve the tasks presented, participating in discussions that promoted significant learning. This article will present two tasks that were explored with the 5th grade class.
