Recreational Mathematics ColloQuia | Gathering 4 Gardner Europe

Recreational Mathematics, RM,  is a versatile umbrella term for a multidisciplinar area. Today it is clear for most mathematicians and educators that the enjoyment RM provides is an asset. It helps mediating mathematics to all. The historians among us might take the opportunity to remind us that RM has been also, for millennia, a source of inspiration for more prosaic scientific activities.

The Recreational Mathematics Collquium | Gathering 4 Gardner Europe, RMC | G4G, are high level meetings where pearls from the realm of mathematics will be shared and appreciated. It will be relevant in many ways (scientific, educational, historical…) and entertaining. What else should we ask for?

The Ludus Association, with the kind support of many partners who have varied over the years, is proud to promote and help organize these meetings.
Since 2015 they are integrated in the Gathering for Gardner movement.​

Our Colloquia are a Show and Tell of bright nuggets of Mathematics, with varied levels of sophistication, entertaining many audiences. Its main goal is to foster mathematical appreciation.
