Jornadas História dos Jogos em Portugal IV

As quartas Jornadas História dos Jogos em Portugal vão realizar-se no dia 12 de Dezembro de 2015 na Sala de Extracções da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (Largo Trindade Coelho, 1200-470 Lisboa) entre as 9:00 e as 18:00. As inscrições são gratuitas.

As Jornadas História dos Jogos em Portugal – IV contam com a participação de dois dos mais relevantes especialistas a nível mundial, Thierry Depaulis e Ulrich Schädler.

Ulrich Schädler

Ulrich Schädler, PD Dr. phil. (*1958); since 2002 Director of the Swiss Museum of Games at La Tour-de-Peilz; Privatdozent of Ancient and Medieval Cultural History at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).

Studies in Architecture (Technical University Darmstadt), Greek & Roman Archaeology, Prehistory and Ancient History at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, Germany, and at the Università “La Sapienza”, Rome, Italy.

Co-editor (together with Rainer Buland) of “Ludographie – Spiel und Spiele”.

Thierry Depaulis

Prepress manager and editor, studies in History (Bordeaux University), game and playing-card collector, independent game historian mostly interested in “mind” games. Honorary Fellow and Chairman of the International Playing-Card Society, 1992 Modiano Prize (for his publications on the history of playing cards and card games), President of “Le Vieux Papier”, a society devoted to the study of ephemera and other popular prints.
